Program aims to empower the student to understand and apply the new technological trends of the photographic image, using as the principal core, effective visual communication. With this skill they can develop and successfully implement both graphic design and photography projects.

What distinguishes and characterizes the program?

The Department of Digital Graphic Design programs are characterized by the use of
advanced digital technology and the diversity of their specialized courses. With these programs, students can develop the knowledge and skills necessary for successful performance in many professions related to the field of design, photography, and visual communication, complying with current industry requirements.

Courses Included in the Program

A Bachelor Degree in Digital Graphic Design program with a concentration in digital photography is completed with 132 credits, distributed as follows: thirty-three (33) credits of professional courses designed to learn the fundamentals, techniques, digital illustration, print media, editing images, media and advertising, among others. Thirty-nine (39) credits in the area of concentration directed to publications, management of cameras, lighting, photography studio, management and manipulation of images, artistic photography, advertising photography, photo journalism, semiotics and digital portfolio, among others. Forty-five (45) credits of general education. Nine (9) credits of free electives and six (6) credits acquired by participating in an entrepreneurship development program.

Where can program graduates use their new skills?

Graduates can perform as artist, photographer, and digital designer, in the areas of: editorial design, corporate image, digital illustration, editing images, pre-press, press, advertising, artistic photography, photo journalism, studio photography, lighting technician, and photographer for events, among others. Also, they can develop themselves in multiple areas within the field of visual communication, developing projects for diverse media, both print and digital.
