The Program develops professionals in the field of digital graphic design with the ability to conceptualize, design and produce material of visual communication of creatively making use of state-of- the-art computerized digital arts technology.

What distinguishes and characterizes the program?

The Department of Digital Graphic Design programs are characterized by the use of advanced digital technology and diversity in their specialized courses. Using these, students can develop the knowledge and skills necessary for successful performance in many professions related to the field of design and visual communication, according to the current requirements of the industry.

Courses Included in the Program

The Bachelor in Digital Graphic Design program is completed with 132 credits, distributed as follows: thirty-three (33) credits of vocational courses aimed to know the fundamentals, techniques, design of publications, digital illustration, photo editing, digital photography, press and advertising, among others. Thirty-nine (39) credits in the area of concentration directed to print media, development and web animation, Corporate Imaging, semiotics, 3D design, digital portfolio and creative design, among others. Forty-five (45) credits of general education. Nine (9) credits of free electives and six (6) credits acquired in a practice for business entrepreneurship.

Where can program graduates use their new skills?

Digital graphic design graduates can work as an artist and digital designer, in the following areas: editorial design, corporate image, digital illustration, editing images, pre-press, press, web development, design of publications and promotional materials, creative director and graphic producer, among others. Also, they may develop in multiple areas within the field of visual communication, developing works for various media, both print and digital.
